I am a college student. I am undisciplined. I have a rebelious heart and a questioning mind. Most of my post titles are song lytics. I spend most of my time thinking, reading, drawing, writing, and drumming on whatever’s within close reach.
Oh, and I eat and sleep and see other people sometimes, too.
I live in an old, old house with four girls, a fish, a rabbit, a kitten, and a dog. The house is over one hundred years old, and I love it so, even though at times I have this irrational fear of something accidentally catching fire and causing the whole place to go up in flames. Still, my uni’s just a short ways across one busy, busy street, meaning all of my classes are less than a twenty minute walk away. It’s like living in the dorms, if in the midst of the dorms there was some secret portal out into a country wonderland filled with trees and creaky old stairs and dried up old wells and woodland creatures, that is. In fact, the dorms are just a two minute walk away. All-in-all, it’s a pretty sweet spot.
I believe in empowerment through knowledge, because ignorance is slavery. I believe that communication is key. I believe in infinity, and existentialism, and animism, and the powers that be. I believe that life is what you make of it, and anything you can think of is only as important as the emphasis YOU place on it. I realize that the signifier is far less significant than the signified (although our culture seems to attempt to claim otherwise). I believe in Absolute Existence, Time, and the Cosmic Symphony (call this my own personal Holy Trinity). I believe in love, even if love doesn’t always believe in me. I enjoy the notions of neotribalism AND unitarian universalism. I believe in art, in all forms. And: I believe in you, and in me, and that, in some possibly inexplicable way, we are profoundly and permanently connected to each other, whether you and I cherish such a notion… or not.
Anyway, I’m a bit of a nerd. I’m almost always daydreaming…
